Add figs, water, and sugar to a heavy bottomed sauce pan and bring to a boil
Add spices and allow the figs to simmer on low until broken down and gelatinous. This took about 30 minutes for me but it depends on how ripe and large your figs are
When the mixture it at your preferred jam consistency, remove from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes
Transfer into jars and allow it to set at room temperature
Store jars in the fridge for up to 3 months
